  • P25 Implementation Workshop

    P25 Implementation Workshop

This hands-on, 2.5-day workshop allows participants to utilize the knowledge and skills expected of a proficient P25 System Administrator while working on the L3Harris SR10A P25 Network. The workshop includes structured hands-on exercises on Fleet Mapping, the Unified Administration System (UAS), Radio Programming using RPM2 software, the Regional Network Manager (RNM), and Activity Warehouse reporting application. If available, participants will also perform basic configuration functions on the Symphony Dispatch Console. The participants will gain proficiency in all areas typically overseen by a P25 Radio System Administrator. The sequence of the workshop progressively builds in the following order:
    P25 SR10A Network Overview (4hrs)
    P25 Fleet Mapping Exercise (4hrs)
Unified Administration System- Fleet Map loading (4hrs)
Radio Programming using RPM2 software (4hrs)
Basic Console Configuration (Symphony Console-if available)
Monitoring and Reporting on the SR10A Network using the Regional Network Manager, and the Activity Warehouse Application (4hrs)

Participants are divided into teams to plan, implement, and operate the P25 radio system based on the communication requirements of an imaginary city. At the conclusion of this 2.5-day course, participants will receive credit for completion of the P25 System Implementation Workshop (Course YTSN9N-A) from the L3Harris Technical Training Dept.

  • Enterprise Network Manager Integration on the L3Harris P25 SR10A System

Enterprise Network Manager Integration on the L3Harris P25 SR10A System

This 2.5hr. workshop will introduce one of the newer members in the L3Harris P25 SR10A family, Centerity’s Enterprise Network Manager (ENM). The Enterprise Network Manager is an all-in-one network management monitoring platform suited for the entire enterprise, including servers, operating systems, network appliances, database applications and more. It informs and alerts the users regarding the state of the network, applications, and hardware through a single web browser interface.
This workshop will describe some of the ways in which our customers are leveraging the robust capabilities of this platform to deliver critical information and alerts that assist the Radio System Administrator and technicians in measuring the health and diagnosing problems on the systems being monitored. Integration with the Regional Network Manager(s) will be discussed as well as the pros and cons of various uses with respect to the configuration of this product.

  • RF Site Alignment and Antenna Testing/Maintenance

RF Site Alignment and Antenna Testing/Maintenance

This 4-hr class will assist technicians in understanding the proper procedures to align an RF site. In addition to the site alignment module, the instructor will address the ongoing monitoring, testing, and maintenance required to keep the system’s antennae in proper working order.

  • Grounding and Surge Suppression

    Grounding and Surge Suppression

This session will be a 6-7 hr. overview of the key concepts and techniques used to properly ground RF equipment and prevent damaging surges that negatively impact RF systems. Topics addressed will include:
    Lightning Basics
    Exterior Grounding Techniques
    Interior Grounding Techniques
    Surge Suppression Techniques
Inspections and Checklists to assist Engineers, Project Managers, Technicians and Installers

Please note that this is NOT the full Grounding and Surge Suppression Class as typically offered by the L3Harris Technical Training Dept. It will, however, assist those who seek a better understanding of the challenges and industry best practices that may be utilized to mitigate the risks of damage to a RF System.
